MY START IN CLIMBING

It didn’t take much for Frank to get hooked on climbing. All it took was one unsuccessful try on a very simple climb and that was all she wrote.

At the young age of 10, two years before Woodstock, Frank had his first climb in Macedonia State Park, Ct. The funny thing was that besides being scared half to death, Frank could not make it up the climb.. Things changed though three weeks later when he took a Rock Climbing class in Pound Ridge New York and learned what he needed to do to achieve the top of a climb. Frank went back to Macedonia State Park a couple years later and completed that first climb which carried a rating of 5.2.
